The single most important thing you can learn to do with your computer is to properly
maintain it. A properly maintained computer will prove itself to be reliable work and
play tool that will save you headaches, frustration and in the long term - money.
MT4 (Maintenance Tip 4) - Cleaning Temporary Files
As you use and install programs and browse the internet, your computer
accumulates all kinds of temporary files that waste space on your system and
can slow down your computers performance.
These files are called "temporary" because that is just what they are and
can be safely deleted.
To delete your temporary files click on your Start Button > Programs >
Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup.
*Windows built in Disk Cleanup does an adequate job of purging your system
of the unwanted temporary files but it does miss many areas such as the "Cookies"
that your web browser collects. We strongly recommend purchasing Webroots Window Washer 5
as it thoroughly cleans your computer.
