Basic Computer maintenance tips

The single most important thing you can learn to do with your computer is to properly
maintain it. A properly maintained computer will prove itself to be reliable work and
play tool that will save you headaches, frustration and in the long term - money.
MT1 (Maintenance Tip 1) - Physical Cleaning
Your computers biggest enemy is dust. Dust accumulates inside your computer which
clogs up your cooling fans and traps heat on your hardware components leading to
hardware failure.
To combat dust you will need to purchase a can of compressed air
and physically spray out the dust from inside your pc. To do this follow these
simple steps:
- Turn of your computer and unplug the power cable.
- Open the case of your computer.
- Using the compressed air spray out all traces of dust on the individual
components and fans.
- Put the case back on, plug in the power cable and turn on the pc.
*You should clean the dust from your computer once every 4-6 months.
